Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Celah, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Celah. By using the Service, you represent that you are 18 or older and able to enter into a binding agreement.

3. The service

Celah is a monthly check-in app for couples. It helps you and your partner pause, reflect, set shared goals, and revisit memories together. We may add, change, or remove features over time, and we may set reasonable limits on the Service.

4. Accounts & couples

To use Celah you create an account and join or form a "couple" with one partner. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. By design, content you submit during a check-in is shared with your partner within your couple. Add only information you are comfortable sharing with them. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. Subscriptions & billing

Celah is offered as an auto-renewing subscription, sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system and billed to your Apple Account. One subscription covers both partners in a couple, and you are never charged per person.

• Free trial. Subscriptions may include a free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription converts to a paid subscription automatically.
• Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• Managing & cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
• Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled according to Apple's policies. We are generally unable to issue refunds directly.
• Price changes. If we change subscription prices, we will give notice as required, and changes will not affect your current billing period.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the reflections, goals, memories, and other content you create in Celah ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you and your partner. You are responsible for Your Content and represent that you have the right to share it, including any information you add about your partner or children.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you will not:

• Use Celah for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• Attempt to access another couple's data or any account that is not yours;
• Reverse engineer, disrupt, or interfere with the Service or its security;
• Upload content that is illegal, infringing, or harmful;
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm another person.

8. Intellectual property

The Celah app, including its design, branding, and software, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks or branding without our prior written permission. Aside from Your Content, all rights are reserved.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Celah is intended to support your relationship and is not a substitute for professional advice.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Celah and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using Celah and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including content licenses you have granted, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Florida will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except where prohibited by applicable law.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of Celah after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
